I'm all for raising money for a wonderful cause, so when Louis Vuitton teamed with Michael Clarke, Australian cricket captain to create the one-off special order Cricket Trunk to support the Arts Program for the Sydney Children's Hospital I was quite thrilled to go and support it.
Michael Clarke describes, "I have been working with Louis Vuitton for some time and I was asked to design my ideal cricket trunk. It was nice to also be invited to visit the Vuitton family home in Asnieres where all the Special Orders are made." As you can only imagine the trunk is quite spectacular up close. Handmade by a single master craftsman in Louis Vuitton's historic Asnieres workshop near Paris where all Special Orders are made, the case is covered in Louis Vuitton's iconic Damier Graphite canvas. The black leather trimming was chosen by Michael for it's discreet elegance and masculinity. Measuring 140cm in height and has everything a man (and possibly a woman) could need, including an inbuilt iphone dock, mirror, drawers and hanging space.
On Thursday the trunk was unveiled in the Louis Vuitton George Street Maison which is now on display. The private sale of the cricket trunk will be managed by Christie's auction house and will include memorabilia donated by Michael Clarke.
Mini-dressing room perhaps??

This is really a fantastic trunk. It certainly looks gorgeous and is so fit for men. What makes this even better is that all of these are for charity. It is really great to know that famous personalities really help other less fortunate people. Thank you for sharing this post. This is very inspiring. By the way, his shoes are fabulous!
