London Fashion Week : Mulberry SS13

Yesterday was a highlight of my week here in London. The collection was presented in the Ballroom at Claridges and had been transformed into a whimsical, english garden complete with pastel coloured geckos hanging from the trees.  The who's who of English fashion royalty and international guests such as Anna Wintour and Olivia Palermo lined the front row.

With a rocking soundtrack the models wowed down the catwalk in some of the most stunning pieces I'd ever seen. With a nod to the original 1970's collection, the oversized shapes of the jackets, long flowing skirts, leather, drop-waisted dresses and playsuits and the tailored jackets and pants were all quite phenomenal. And the print. Emma and her team have created what I thought was a paisley print, but when I saw it up close after the show it is actually a gecko/garden print that looks similar to paisley from afar.

What a way to finish the week. I loved it. I want to be a Mulberry girl with that oversized, gecko print motor jacket....and the rest.
