Visiting Australia as the first digital ambassador for Lancome, this pint-sized powerhouse caused mild hysteria. I witnessed it twice. Firstly at her Myer in-store visit. A press conference was held within the city Myer store and there were already people lining up to see her later on in the day. When I came back at 5.30, there were queues out the door of eager young girls waiting to see their beauty idol and teacher. When she did walk in, it went completely nuts. Cheering, screaming and crying........I KID YOU NOT. When host Paula Joye referred to her as the Justin Bieber of beauty - she wasn't wrong.
The second time was the day after the event. Michelle came to Manly and we filmed a short segment for Lancome. After the shoot finished we were sitting having lunch and it started again. Girls ran over squealing to say hello, get autographs, and then brought their mums over too who also asked for photos. Crazy...
Being the fashion blogger, not the beauty blogger (which translates to, I'll take any beauty help I can...) Michelle shared some of her tips and favourite products.
1. Apply lip liner first and then lip stick with a brush.
2. When cleaning brushes dip them into a mix of washing liquid and olive oil, then try them upside down. Weekly.
3. To work out what colours suit you, look at the veins in your hands/wrists. If they are blueish in tone then go for pinks and blue hues. If your veins are green, then go for brights and corals.
Some of her product picks.
1. Lancome Genefique Serum
2. Lancome Hypnose Doll Eyes Mascara
.....and I've personally just discovered L'absolu Nu Lip (#311). Kinda loving.
