TRAVEL : The L Hotel: Seminyak
Bali has a home in my heart, I've been visiting here since I was a teenager and it has now grown into a destination that I favour to go to with my family and friends. Hot weather, amazingly friendly people, great service in a tropical lush setting. What's not to love?
Over the years I've visited this small island in Indonesia in different capacities, most recently in large groups with lots of children. And there has never been a shortage of fun and being able to balance with the right amount of relaxing.
This time my visit was completely different. The day after the crazy week of Fashion Week ended I jumped on a plane for some R & R and was introduced to The L Hotel, part of The L Hotels and Resorts group. A boutique hotel situated in the the heart of Seminyak. In other words, close to the shops restaurants and one of my favourite Bali destinations - Spas.
The hotel is built on a small footprint and it's amazing what is there. A lap pool, boutique bedrooms, a roof top bar/terrace but what sticks most? The service. On my arrival I was introduced to my 'Butler'. My own, available 24 hours a day, complete with a mobile phone to dial him directly from anywhere in the surrounding areas for pick ups. It was brilliant. The whole time I was there I barely had to think about anything. (Now that's a holiday)
From the generous breakfast to the spa located next door, it was the perfect way to unwind afer a week of pounding the Australian fashion pavement.
The L Hotel group also offers accommodation in their Villas which you can also book. I had the lush experience of having this wonderful complex, Casa Brio all to myself.
